The value in family worship is something he realized over time, and he began to implement it when his oldest child was around twelve, I think. I&#8217;ve read Little Women, but never bothered to look her up.  I see several parts of herself in two of the characters.</p>
<p>This book is SUCH an encouraging story full of good lessons.  I&#8217;m excited we are beginning it!</p>

We use Singapore Math, and the concepts are somewhat different from what I learned as a kid. At first, I want to jump up and say, &#8220;Yeah! I am listening to it, which is a real treat since I am the one who does all the reading aloud at home.  </p>
<p>One moment I appreciate is that after Bilbo vanishes during his party, the people spin tales of that particular moment, creating of Bilbo something that reminds me of a leprechaun.  It gives me the giggles.  </p>
