Happy Sabbath ladies ❤️ Let’s read chapters 9 & 10 this week! Is anyone else falling way behind? 😂 I am listening on Audible and I love the book! But for some reason I just can’t get more than 10 minutes at a time done 😬 Jordan and I have had the discussion a few times about the genres we struggle with and apparently fantasy is mine. I really love it, I just drag through it for some reason. I have been “reading” The Princess and Curdie since last year and still haven’t finished it 😂

I really thought that I too would struggle with this fantasy so I had planned to do an audiobook. However, I have enjoyed it so much I have stuck with the paperback and can’t put it down. Can’t quite put my finger on why!

Hahah! That’s so funny Jacy! I’m having no trouble with this one but persuasion had me slacking! I didn’t have many big take always from chapter 8 though other than I found it interesting what KC said about Tolkien choosing to keep what Bombedel was exactly a mystery. I love that. Let’s your imagination do that it wants with him.

I’m not falling behind because I’m listening to it. I actually prefer to read books, but I read this one in the spring, so I don’t feel the need to re-read it. I have really loved listening to it, and I don’t worry about “missing” anything when someone talks to me while I’m listening, since I read the words just a few months prior.

I’m very grateful for knowing that Tolkien likes to keep some things a mystery. I like to KNOW all the background stuff that goes into characters and names and settings and scenarios. It bugs me that there isn’t any other answer to Bombadil and Goldberry besides the fact that they were meant to be mysterious. I do like the leprechaun possibility!

I’m glad you all are doing well 😂 Jamie, I know Canon Press has a book called “The House of Tom Bombadil”, you might like that.
